Jane Iddings is the creator, developer, administrator, and “lightly-editing editor” of this blog — meaning she may lightly edit posts. She loves to write and to facilitate writing groups. In recent years this has included many who want to write their life stories, their memoirs.
Share stories online: Many writers want to have a way to share their stories with their family and friends. The Internet provides an easy way to do so. That’s why Jane created this blog.
What kind of blog is this? It’s best described as a literary blog. Not a highfalutin literary blog: no, not that at all. Instead, this is a literary blog for those who choose to express life in words such as memoirs, biographies, poems, stories, and the like.
Who can share stories? You don’t have to be a present or past member of one of Jane’s writing groups — although many of the authors on this blog do come from these groups. Friends of friends and their friends — in an ever-widening circle — are invited to join us. Click on “Contact” on the black Menu Bar to inquire about sharing your stories.
How to find this blog online? This is a non-commercial blog. To be mindful of writers’ privacy needs, this blog is intentionally set up so it won’t easily be found by search engines (although there is no guarantee this won’t happen). Viewers will mostly find this blog by word of mouth using the domain name “janesmemoirists.com”. Sort of a mouthful, isn’t it? We do invite writers, friends of writers, and the media to help spread the word about this blog.
